Laser Tattoo Removal Huddersfield

Medical Grade Laser Tattoo Removal

At C U Laser Clinic we provide tattoo removal treatments using the Qswitch ND:Yag Q10 Laser machine, an effective method of removing unwanted tattoos and semi permanent make up . The laser breaks down the ink/pigment into small fragments which the body can remove naturally.

We offer a free consultation to provide a comprehensive understanding of the procedure and what to expect and to assess your suitability for treatment. Prior to any treatment we would conduct a patch test and then schedule treatment 24-48 hours later.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does it work?

Laser tattoo removal is a safe and effective treatment for the removal of unwanted tattoos. The Q10 is a Medical Grade, FDA cleared laser utilising Q switched technology which fragments the ink pigment into tiny particles, small enough to be absorbed into and removed by the body’s immune system. The tattoo will gradually fade with each treatment over the course of a few months.

How many treatments are required?

Most tattoos can be considerably diminished and many can be completely removed. For most tattoos a course of 6-8 sessions is required with at least 6 weeks between each treatment. The number of treatments will depend on the age, size, colour and location of the tattoo as well as the type and depth of the ink pigment.

Is it painful?

Laser tattoo removal typically involves some level of pain. Most people report that it is comparable to having a tattoo applied. The Q10 incorporates PTP mode ensuring maximum comfort and fast skin regeneration. Skin numbing can be used to reduce pain. This can involve cold air, ice pack or topical cream such as Emla cream.

Are there any side effects?

Side effects can be expected after treatment but these are temporary. There is an immediate whitening of the area treated which may last for several minutes to several hours. Short term effects can include reddening, bruising and /or blistering. Your laser technician will provide you with pre and post care instructions prior to treatment.
